Notices to Mariners
A new issue of Notices to Mariners (NtM) is published every fortnight (also known as BaZ).
The publication features recent nautical information of importance to the navigation sector, together with supplements and corrections to the nautical charts. This nautical information is extremely diverse. It can include changing buoys, dangerous situations, changed laws and/or guidelines, recent wrecks and/or obstacles, and so much more.
This information must be applied directly to the nautical charts. These updates guarantee seafarers that their nautical charts always show the most recent information.

Knowing high and low water times is of vital importance for seafarers, who must deal with shallow waters and sandbanks. The Flemish Hydrography measures water levels at the tide measuring stations located in Nieuwpoort, Oostende, and Zeebrugge. Long-term measurements form a basis for computing the tide forecasts. These forecasts are published every year in tide tables for Nieuwpoort, Oostende, Blankenberge, Zeebrugge, Vlissingen, Prosperpolder, Antwerpen, and Wintam.
The tide data for Vlissingen is supplied by Rijkswaterstaat Netherlands. The tide data for Prosperpolder, Antwerpen, and Wintam is provided by the Hydraulic Laboratory in Borgerhout.
The tide tables can be bought in different professional sales points or can be downloaded on our page with publications.
